Alternate VyprVPN PPTP Setup Guide for DD-WRT & Tomato

  • Normally we recommend using the OpenVPN protocol for VyprVPN router connections, however if you are experiencing an issue with OpenVPN, such as slow speeds, then a PPTP connection may work faster in some cases.
  • Make sure you are not running VyprVPN OpenVPN and PPTP connection protocols at the same time!
  • It is very difficult to troubleshoot any difficulties with PPTP connections due to lack of proper connection logging. If you have trouble establishing a PPTP connection we recommend sticking with the OpenVPN setup option.
  • Scroll down for VyprVPN PPTP Tomato firmware settings.
