Dual Gateway VPN simplified. The FlashRouters Privacy App allows you to easily control whether devices connect to the Internet through the active VPN connection or through your local ISP connection.
This feature is perfect for users that have a separate work VPN on a device or use certain websites that are not accessible through VPN or if you have a need for full ISP speeds on a specific device.
Click on the FlashRouters Privacy App button in the top left hand corner of the App and then click Options to view this page.
Click Apply after making your changes.
If you have given your device a name during the device setup you will see it listed here. If the device name is not listed you should be able to identify the device by checking the Local IP Address on the device or by inspecting the device for its MAC address.
Action: There are three possible options for managing devices with the FlashRouters Privacy App.
Default: If the VPN is connected on the FlashRouters Privacy App then the VPN will be active on a device set to default, if the VPN is disconnected on the FlashRouter the default device will connect to the Internet through your ISP.
If the Global Kill Switch is checked on the Connect tab then all devices not connected to VPN will not have Internet
Kill Switch: Instead of using the Global Kill Switch you can set a Kill Switch for specific devices. Note that if you are using the Global Kill Switch option on the Connect tab there is a message stating that kill switch is enabled globally. You must uncheck the Global Kill Switch first to set individual kill switch rules. Kill switch will not appear in the Action dropdown list unless Global Kill Switch is unchecked.
VPN Bypass: Set specific devices on your network to connect directly to the Internet through your ISP connection. If you have a separate work VPN or use certain websites that are no accessible through VPN or if you have a need for full ISP speeds on a specific device then this feature is recommended. Even if you have Global Kill Switch enabled for all other devices in your netowk you can still use the VPN Bypass feature on specific devices at the same time.
